Teddy Lenward
Propst
Nov 22, 1969 — Apr 9, 2025
Conover
Mr. Teddy Lenward Propst, the beloved son of the late William Propst and Rose Ann Turner Propst, was born on November 22, 1969, in Catawba County, North Carolina. He peacefully departed this earthly life on April 9, 2025, at Catawba Valley Medical Center following a brief illness.
He was a proud, long-time employee of Goodwill Industries, formerly EconoForce, where he worked for over 20 years. Teddy also participated in the Special Olympics and was a devoted member of the APW Boys Club, where he shared his vibrant personality with everyone he met.
Teddy was truly one of a kind—fun-loving, charismatic, and always the life of the event. He loved dressing up as characters . An avid fan of professional wrestling, he never missed a match and could often be found cheering on his favorites with contagious enthusiasm. Teddy had a deep love for the movie Convoy Trucks and for 18-wheelers, proudly adopting the handle "Teddy Bear." He was especially fond of the Smokey and the Bandit movie series, watching Parts I, II, and III repeatedly with pure delight.
A true people person, Teddy never met a stranger. He introduced himself with pride, always saying, "I am Teddy Propst," leaving a lasting impression wherever he went. He had a deep appreciation for music and would joyfully "air play" instruments—whether it was the drums, piano, or guitar. Teddy was truly an angel on earth, spreading joy, laughter, and love to everyone around him.
For the past six years, Teddy made his home at Conover Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, where he was deeply cherished by both staff and visitors. He brought warmth and joy to the lives of everyone at the center, and his presence will be profoundly missed.
Teddy leaves behind a loving family who will forever hold his memory dear: his sisters, Terrie McGill (Calvin) of Taylorsville, North Carolina, Trudy Lott (John) of Hickory, North Carolina, and Tina Mosley (Curtis) of Charlotte, North Carolina; his brother, Travis Propst (Ronda) of Newton, North Carolina; nephews, Christopher Lott (Brittany) of Upper Marlboro, Maryland, and Tevin McGill of Taylorsville, North Carolina; nieces, Brittney Propst of Charlotte, North Carolina and Braiesia Propst Rhyder (Matt) of Granite Falls, North Carolina; great-nieces Madison and Trinity; great-nephews Jorden, Remi, and Aysen; along with many more loving relatives, friends, and supporters.
A special and heartfelt thank you to the devoted staff and friends at Conover Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, who became Teddy's second family and surrounded him with kindness, compassion, and love every single day.
Teddy's light will continue to shine in the hearts of those who knew him. His memory will forever be a blessing.
