Obituary
Ms. Sylvia Ann Freemen transitioned to be with her Lord andSavior on July 19, 2024 following a brief illness at Catawba Valley
Medical Center. She was born in Catawba County, North Carolina on July 1, 1951 to the late Hurley Eugene Rose, Sr. and Mozelle
Alexander. She was 73 years and 18 days old.
Sylvia was loved by all who knew her. She was a member of Morning Star First Baptist Church, where she enjoyed accompanying the musicians with her hand instruments that included the tambourine, percussion shakers and maracas. Sylvia enjoyed collecting antiques and stone memorabilia.

In addition to her parents, Sylvia was preceded in death by a daughter, Lakeyser Freeman and brothers; Hurley Rose, Jr. and Larry Rose.

Left to cherish fond and loving memories are her daughters; Dionne Lewis of Columbus, New Jersey and Aretha Freeman (David) of Hickory, North Carolina; grandchildren Alysia Freeman, Ashanti Freeman (Nicole), Christopher Freeman (Corrine), Michael
Lewis, Kevin Malone and Samaria Kennedy; great grandchildren, Jajuan Freeman, Zamaria Freeman, Jeremiah Freeman, Kadijah Freeman, Logan Freeman, Leilani Bray and Ava Bray; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends.

The Homegoing Celebration will be held on Saturday, July 27, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at Morningstar First Baptist Church. The family will receive friends and family 1hour prior to the service at 12:00 noon at the church.
