Mr. Rudolph Joseph Hoyle transitioned to be with the Lord on February 21, 2022 at Carolina Caring in Hickory, North Carolina, following a brief illness.  Rudolph was born December 22, 1943 in Cleveland County to the late Ellsworth and Ruth Elmore Hoyle.

Mr. Hoyle was a 1963 graduate of Ridgeview High School.  He enjoyed fishing, rabbit hunting, gardening and spending time with his family.  He was a member of the Lions Club and retired from Conover Roofing.

Mr. Hoyle was preceded in death by his parents.

Mr. Hoyle leaves to cherish fond memories his devoted wife of 49 years, Priscilla Hoyle of the home; three sons, Michael (Cynthia) Erby of Maiden, North Carolina, Larry Wayne (Carla) Erby of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and Stevie (Denise) Erby of Hickory, North Carolina; three grandsons, Phillip McCall of Charlotte, North Carolina, O.J. Erby of Maiden, North Carolina and Jordan Erby of Hickory, North Carolina; two granddaughters, Stacy-Ann Dias of St. Elizabeth, Jamaica and Roxie Deanna Erby of Hickory, North Carolina; two great-granddaughters, Mekia Richards of St. Elizabeth, Jamaica and Emersyn Rose Erby of Hickory, North Carolina; a special niece whom he loved as a daughter, Daisha Williams of Claremont, North Carolina; a brother, Robert Hoyle of Knoxville, Tennessee; a sister, Carolyn Hoyle of Hickory, North Carolina; two brother in laws; four sister in laws; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends all of whom he loved dearly.
