Ms. Rosalyn Regina Reinhardt transitioned to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on February 10, 2023 following a lengthy illness. She demonstrated much strength and courage. She was born September 30, 1954 in Monmouth County, New Jersey to the late Clyde Willie and Johnnie Mae Hodge Reinhardt. Rosalyn was 68 years, 4 months and 11 days old.
Ms. Reinhardt was a member of Saint Paul African Methodist Episcopal Church and retired from Sears Roebuck Company and the Hickory Public School System after 30 years as a Truancy Officer. She was an avid soap opera watcher. She loved her family and friends and especially, her Derick.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother James Hodge, and grand parents John Hodge, Sr. and Amanda Hodge.
Rosalyn Regina Reinhardt was well-loved and will be sorely missed by her one and only child, her son Derick Reinhardt and his partner Tanya Moser of the home; granddaughter, Deraysia Reinhardt of the home; uncle and aunt Richard and Sue Hodge of Hickory, North Carolina; cousin Teresa Fuller of Mt. Holly, North Carolina; special family friends Tanya Moser, Cathryn Smith, and Renric Pope; a number of cousins, other relatives, and friends.
Homegoing Celebration will be held on Saturday, February 18, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at Saint Paul African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church, Hickory, North Carolina, with the Reverend I. Melvin Peay, Pastor, officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow at Southside Cemetery, Hickory, North Carolina.
