He passionately was a member of the Chancel Choir where he sang bass. Richard served as a Trustee, was a member of the kitchen committee where he made and served his famous iced tea; he was a member of the Fun Bunch. At Hartzell he also was a member of the United Methodist Men and faithfully served as the church Treasurer for more than 50 years!
