Mr. Plaza Bernard Reynolds took his highway to heaven's journey on a calm Thursday night, July 7, 2022 at Frye Regional Medical Center, Hickory, North Carolina,followingabriefillness. ThesonofthelateWilliam(Tennessee) Reynolds and Joy Smith Reynolds, Plaza was born on March 7, 1962 in CatawbaCounty,NorthCarolina. Hewas60years,4monthsold.
Cheesy, as he was affectionately called by his family and friends, was a 1980 graduate of Hickory High School. He was a 1979 linebacker of the Hickory High School football team, which was undefeated during the regular season. He loved football and he was a true Redskins (Washington Team) fan.

In addition to his parents, Plaza was preceded in death by his son, William Reynolds and his daughter Tanyana Nicole Smith. Left to cherish fond loving memories are his son, Renard (TaMera) Smith of Hickory, North Carolina; grandson, Ohighee (O.J.) Woods of Hickory, North Carolina; brother, Albert Reynolds of Hickory, North Carolina; uncles, Walter Reynolds of Hickory, North Carolina, Bobby Reynolds of Pulaski Tennessee, Harold Smith of McConnell, South Carolina, David McDonald of Charlotte, North Carolina and Johnny McDonald of Holly Springs, Mississippi; aunts, Edna Reynolds of Indianapolis, Indiana, Rose Mary Little of Charlotte, North Carolina and Jimalou Reynolds of Dayton, Ohio; great aunt, Eula Mae Hunt Jackson of Hickory, North Carolina; special friends, Cindy Kelly, Robert Sherrill and many friends from the Hickory High School Class of 1980; along with a host of other relatives and friends.
