Obituary

Octevia Shanice Ingram was born on August 22, 1989 to Tara Briley and Kevin Alston.  She passed into eternal life on July 3, 2024.

Octevia was an amazing wife to Summer, a doting mama to Rennix James, a loyal and fierce friend, and devoted sister, daughter, granddaughter, niece, and aunt.

Octevia's smile was contagious and filled every room. She was generous and always ready to help.  She spoke the truth, kept you laughing, and loved a good party.  She always dressed to impress and her hair was always on point.  She was prepared for any and everything, including an armed invasion during the zombie apocalypse. She enjoyed playing video games, cruising the high seas, chilling, and watching horror movies.  She loved the Carolina Panthers and football season.

She personalized everything! If you needed it, most likely she had it and if she didn't, she knew where to get a good deal on it! She and Summer did everything together and were inseparable.  Their time together and with Rennix James was too short but will always be cherished.  She is missed more than can be expressed in words.

Octevia's legacy will be carried on by her wife, Summer Rayne Ingram; son, Rennix James; mother, Tara Briley (Bernard); father, Kevin Alston (Darzette); sister, Bianca Briley (Jhamaree); brother, Bernard Henry "Junior"  Briley, Jr.; dear friends, Justin Derr (Ciara and their sons), Josh and Valerie Powell; and a host of extended family and friends.

Octevia is spreading her light and love in the world through the gift of her organs and tissue donations.

The family would like to thank Octevia's care team at Forsyth Medical Center, especially Hargis, Courtney, and Kristin, for their dedicated and thoughtful devotion to Octevia and her friends and family.  Their kindness will never be forgotten.  The team at Honor Bridge gently guided the family through the organ and tissue donation process to ensure Octevia left this world better than she found it.

Celebration of Life will be announced at a later time.
