Obituary

Ms Beanie, Ms  Mary, Ms Rhinehardt, Maw Maw, . . . or just . . . plain . . . "Beanie", as she was affectionately known. Mary "Beanie" Rhinehardt of Hickory, North Carolina transitioned to be with the Lord with her family by her side on Monday, January 31, 2022. She was born June 30, 1932 in Hickory, North Carolina to the late Ivey Wesley Dula and Katie Foster Dula.

Mary was a 1949 graduate of Ridgeview High. She fed Hickory through 40 years at Oakwood Elementary School and First Baptist Church as a dietician, and was a lifetime member at Hartzell United Methodist Church. Mary was a faithful member of the church where she was known for her great cooking and stewardship. She served on the Kitchen Committee and Secretary of Membership. Mary also was a member of the Chancellor Choir, United Methodist Women, and the Fun Bunch.

She was preceded in transition by her parents, husband Benjamin Rhinehardt, and only sister Kathryn Dula.

She is survived by son Bena Ra Speret; daughter Carol Ramseur; five grandchildren, Robert Ramseur, Jr., Karen Ramseur, Devanté Robinson, Nande Rhinehardt, and Asha Hashim; three great grandchildren, Auburney Ferguson, Laquacia McCorkle, and Brixton Ponder; three great-great
grandchildren, Alaya Ferguson, Lauren Snow, and Landon Dunston; brother, Ivey Wesley Dula, Jr.; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. A heartfelt thank you to William Bowser for all of his love and support, and two very special friends, Betty Coleman McDowell and Gwendolyn Derr.
