A Reflection of a Faithful Life
Ms. LaDosca Jean Washington, was born on March 1, 1971, to the late Terry Raymond and Betty Wilson Washington in Catawba County, North Carolina. Jean, as she was affectionately called, departed this earthly life unexpectedly, on July 9, 2026 at her residence in Hickory, North Carolina. Jean was 55 years, 4 months and 8 days old.
LaDosca Jean was a 1989 graduate of Hickory High School. She was a member of Whoso Ever Will Full Gospel Church where she served as President of the Usher Board. She was employed as a Lead Sorter with Republic Recycling Services.
LaDosca Jean loved God and she loved her church. She was an avid traveler. Her passion was planning events with her sister, LaDosca Jane, and visiting Casinos.
In addition to her parents, LaDosca Jean was preceded in death by her brother, Garfield Wilson and brother in-law James Robert Sims.
LaDosca Jean leaves to cherish fond and loving memories her sons, Jordan Lockhart (Stosha Randles) of the home and Dorian Lockhart of Hickory, North Carolina and a nephew-son Rammi Washington (Keyonie Biggs); grandchildren, Malayah Lockhart and Riley Lockhart, both of Hickory, North Carolina; brothers, Terry Raymond Washington, Jr. (Debra) of Knoxville, Tennessee, Charles Anthony Washington (Gail) of Hickory, North Carolina, Robert McPherson of Florida, and LeNardo Berry of Evansville, Indiana; sisters, her twin, LaDosca Jane Washington Sims of Hickory, North Carolina and Gloria Williams of Sumpter, South Carolina; a friend and life partner Patrick Lockhart; a host of nephews, nieces, great nephews, great nieces other relatives and friends whom she loved dearly.
Jean will always be remembered for her kindness, compassion and the love she had for her family and friends. Her memory will forever be a blessing.
Funeral service in loving memory of LaDosca Jean Washington will be held Saturday, July 18, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. at Greater Faith Missionary Baptist Church 3147 12th Avenue SE, Hickory, North Carolina with Reverend Rhonda Floyd Officiating and Eulogist (Pastor- Whoso Ever Will Full Gospel Church) and Reverend Marcus Williams, Pastor.
Interment will be held at Southside Cemetery, Hickory, North Carolina.
