Mr. Clarence Edward Lewers, affectionately known as "Ed" by all who knew and loved him, passed unexpectedly February 20, 2024 at his residence. He was born March 2, 1955 to the late Reverend Earl Lewers and Estella
Anderson Lewers in Greenville County, South Carolina. Clarence attended Greenville County Schools and graduated from Hillcrest High School in 1973. He matriculated to Johnson C. Smith University in Charlotte,
North Carolina graduating in 1977 with a major in Business Administration and Marketing. He was a proud member of the Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity. He became a
Mortgage Broker at Anchor Mortgage Company. Ed enjoyed cooking, working with flowers while maintaining his yard and playing golf. In addition to his parents Clarence was preceded in death by his wife Doris Ann C. Lewers. Clarence leaves his loved ones to cherish his fond memory; his dear son, Brandon (Trinette) Lewers of Hickory, North
Carolina; five brothers; Christopher Lewers, Stephan Lewers and Greg (Rachel) Lindsey of Greenville, South Carolina; Kevin Sawyer of Greenville, South Carolina and Kirk Sawyer (Zayshaw) of Lawrenceville, Georgia;
three sisters; Sharon (Otis) Watson of Brunswick, Georgia, Cassandra Lewers of Columbia, South Carolina
and Earlene Lindsey of Greenville, South Carolina; three grandchildren; Quadtavious and Cekethia Lawrence and
Sayvion Lattimore all of Hickory, North Carolina; step-mother Ruby Lewers of Greenville, South Carolina along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other
relatives and friends.

Celebration of Life Services to be held on Thursday, February 29, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at The Walter Gladys Memorial Chapel of Dirk M. Thompson Mortuary 147 5th Street Court SE, Hickory, North Carolina (828) 323-1980 .

Interment will occur on Friday, March 1, 2024at 2:00 p.m. at Graceland East Memorial Park, 2206 Woodruff Road, Simpsonville, South Carolina 29681
