Obituary
Ms. Carolyn Vanissa Scott transitioned to be with her Lord and Savior on June 7, 2024 following a lingering illness. She was born in McDowell County, West Virginia, on May 21, 1964 to the late Delia Mae Scott.  She was 60 years, 2 weeks and 3 days old.

Carolyn was loved ed by all who knew her. She never met a stranger.  Carolyn was a faithful member of Harvest Community Church. She enjoyed serving her community with her passion of being a great cook.

Carolyn participated in the church's Feed the Hungry community program on Tuesdays and
Thursdays. Ms. Scott enjoyed gardening and working with flowers in her yard. She found much joy in spending time with her family and
friends. Carolyn was a cook in the food industry.

In addition to her mother, Delia Mae Scott, Carolyn was preceded in death by a brother; Jeffery Scott and an Uncle William Eugene Scott.

Left to cherish fond and loving memories are her daughter Keyana Scott of Hickory, North Carolina; a son, Kevon Scott of Centerburg, Ohio; granddaughter, Amyanna Scott of Ohio; grandsons Kimauri Glanton, Kimanni Glanton and Karter Scott all of Hickory, North Carolina; a brother, Stephen Scott of Columbus, Ohio; sisters, Mary Tucker, Angela Scott and Melissa Scott all of Columbus, Ohio a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 22, 2024 at 12:00noon at the Walter/Gladys Memorial Chapel of Dirk M. Thompson Mortuary, 147 5th Street Court SE, Hickory, NC. (828) 323-1980 .                             The family visitation hour will be held on Saturday, June 22, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at the Chapel.
