Angela Flowers Johnson, the daughter of Clinton Flowers and Ruth Williams Flowers, was born on April 5, 1953 in Catawba County, North Carolina.  She departed this life on Monday, September 20, 2021 at her residence after an extended illness at the age of 68 years old.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Alfred Johnson and brother Gary Dean Flowers.

Close friends, family and neighbors whom she loved and loved her, called her Nana, Aunt Annie, Sissy and Mama Ann.  She enjoyed fishing and was an outstanding cook and baker (especially the 7-up pound cake). She worked many years in the textile industry and retired from Regal Manufacturing Company.

Left to cherish her fond memories are two sons: James (Nicolette) Flowers of Greensboro, North Carolina and Daryel Flowers of Hickory, North Carolina; two daughters: Stacy (Neil) Livsey of Shelby, North Carolina and Clarissa (Kenneth) Young of Charlotte, North Carolina; two brothers: Clinton (Beatrice) Flowers of Hickory, North Carolina and Douglas (Rene) Flowers of Durham, North Carolina; three sisters: Barbara "Diane" Flowers of Raleigh, North Carolina, Vickie Scott of Hickory, North Carolina and Norma Flowers of Hickory, North Carolina; maternal aunt Ola Maye Williams of Hickory, North Carolina; four grandchildren: Victoria Flowers and Tyshun Flowers of Hickory, North Carolina; James Flowers of Greensboro, North Carolina and Laney Young of Charlotte, North Carolina; brother-in-law, William Johnson of Hickory, North Carolina; special sister-in-law Anita James of Hickory, North Carolina and special longtime friend Pam Bowman; two great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relative and friends.
